    Designing HBO Nordic's long-awaited on-demand service

Rainy autumn is just around the corner and indoor evenings stretch endlessly ahead. Luckily help is at hand.

Doberman is helping HBO – one of the world’s premier providers of first-class television drama – to reach Scandinavian audiences. Doberman is the agency that got the prestigious assignment to design HBO Nordic’s on-demand service for TV and film. Clients in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland will be able to access HBO’s unique content in a wide range of digital platforms: computer, tablet and mobile.

HBO Nordic’s bid to become a major player on the Scandinavian on-demand market has received international attention, with media coverage in New York Times and Engadget amongst others.

HBO are co-operating with Parsifal Entertainment to launch the service in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland.

The renowned TV company is one of several new larger Doberman clients. Before the summer we came out on top in the Swedish Employment Service’s (Arbetsförmedlingen) procurement for design services. The Swedish rising start-up star Klarna have also recently selected Doberman.

It's official - we are opening an office in The Big Apple!

Two years ago, at one of our internal co-lab days, all the people at Doberman made a unified decision to establish a permanent office in New York City. So we packed our bags and went over there to try it out. It turned out pretty well. Now, we have a bunch of clients and are opening a shop on Manhattan.

    – We’ve worked on international assignments for 15 years. So this is a natural step for us and an opportunity to get even better at what we do, says Lisa Lindström, CEO at Doberman.

Managing Director at the New York office will be Anders Frostenson and we are proud to announce that we already have projects for clients such as Oppa, Thrive Capital, MTA, Spree and Spotify.

    – New York is at the moment a pretty magic place for service innovation and design. The growing start-up scene is great proof of that and the demand for our capabilities have been quite overwhelming, says Anders Frostenson, Managing Director for the New York office.

We look forward to telling you more over the year. Stay tuned!

Touch screen user interface design for New York City Subways

Doberman have helped Control Group and MTA design the user interface for the revolutionary touch screen network in the New York City Subways that will serve over 2 million tourists and commuters every day.

Each kiosk is a large 47-inch touch screen centered around an interactive map experience. You simply tap your intended destination, and the map will draw your route, including any transfers.

MTA will begin rollout of the 90 kiosks in New York City later this year.
